Give Youth a Break is a charity dedicated to giving underprivileged youth access to leisure and recreational activities. We recognize the importance of providing a safe and healthy environment for children and teens to learn, engage and grow. Our mission is to provide a sense of hope and joy in the lives of those who are socially disadvantaged. We strive to ensure that no one is denied the opportunity to enjoy the activities that bring us together as a community.

OUR GOALS
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
GYAB is a registered charity. The Trustees are responsible for governance of the organization. Induction and training are provided for new trustees. None of the trustees have any beneficial interest in the charity.

SAFEGAURDING
We are committed to maintaining and adhering to safeguarding procedure and policies at all times. Volunteers have had recent training on safeguarding. All volunteers are aware of the correct procedures to follow if they have concerns in relation to a child’s safety, and they know that they can share any concerns they may have about safeguarding, including with the local authority. All volunteers are appropriately checked to make sure they are suitable to work with children. The trustees and the director ensure that safeguarding records, documents, processes and procedures are successfully implemented to create a vigilant and safe culture in the school. The parents have given feedback of satisfaction
that their children are well cared for and kept safe.
